About this tool

How it works, what to ask, and how to reach us.

fantasysquadhelper turns a squad screenshot into round-1 expected points, captain analysis, and a legal Suggested Squad comparison. Below is the honest version of how the numbers are produced and what they mean.

01

How the scoring system works

Per-action expectation

Core

Goals/90, assists/90, xG/90, xA/90, clean-sheet rate, and yellow-card rate are pulled per player from qualifying fixtures, the 2025-26 club season, and recent friendlies. Each lands in the xPts formula at FIFA Fantasy's actual point values per position.

Minutes likelihood

Multiplier

Minutes per appearance × appearance rate gives the share of a full match we expect. Drives the 60-minute appearance bonus and scales every per-90 input down for rotation candidates.

Round-1 fixture

Modulator

FDR 1 lifts attacking output and clean-sheet rate by ~24%; FDR 5 cuts them by ~24%. Squad-level ratings, not per-player matchups — kept simple so the rationale stays explainable.

Captain ceiling vs floor

The captain card surfaces three numbers per candidate: xPts (the central projection), ceiling (the favorable-outcome upside), and floor (the rotation-adjusted downside). The model that produces them combines:

  • Expected points. Same per-action xPts model as the squad view, before any captain doubling.
  • Minutes per appearance. Below 80 → Medium risk; below 65 → High risk. Status flags (transferred, benched) force High immediately.
  • Fixture-aware ceiling. The ceiling adds a fixture-difficulty boost; the floor multiplies xPts by minutes likelihood. Both honest, both shown.

All expected-points values are derived from qualification-era data and shown with a visible rationale. There is no black-box score.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the screenshot extraction?+

The vision model targets 80%+ accuracy on clean FIFA Fantasy app screenshots. Every extracted player is shown on a confirmation screen — no analysis runs until you confirm the squad.

Why "Suggested Squad" and not "Optimal Squad"?+

The model uses heuristic scoring built on qualification-era data. Calling it "optimal" would over-promise. The suggestion is a strong, legal, budget-and-rule-compliant starting point — not a guaranteed best.

What data does the tool use?+

Player prices, positions, and ownership come from the public FIFA Fantasy JSON snapshot, refreshed by cron. Per-action stats (goals, assists, xG, xA, clean sheets, cards, minutes) are imported from FBref across WC qualifiers, the 2025-26 club season, and recent friendlies. Fixtures, FDR, and round-1 metadata live in our database. Nothing is fetched per request.

Do you store my squad or email?+

Uploaded screenshots are deleted from blob storage as soon as extraction completes. Your latest analysis is remembered in this browser so you can reopen it on the same device. Email is only used if you ask us to send you a private analysis link. Optional analytics cookies are only used after consent.

Why is captain "ceiling" different from xPts?+

Ceiling adds a fixture-difficulty boost (easier opponents tilt the ceiling up). Floor multiplies xPts by minutes likelihood. The two together describe upside and rotation risk in one card.

Is this affiliated with FIFA?+

No. fantasysquadhelper is an independent analysis tool. We are not affiliated with FIFA, the FIFA Fantasy game, or any tournament organizer.
